Song Number Nine: “It Never Fails”
OK, I know this is going to sound a little weird, but suppose that the produces of the next James Bond move contacted me and wanted me to compose the spy movie theme on my Bayan. What makes a song sound like spy genre?
I listened to a number of spy tunes. The original Dr. NO James bond theme, Goldfinger and Thunderball are three of the best. I started composing my version of spy song #9, but my wife said it sounds sad. That’s not the emotion I was going for,….maybe if I speed it up?
Anyway, this is going to be tricky because its gotta be my own original piece, yet sound like the spy genre.
The Election – so far
Its sad that America is where its at today. Decency and fairness seem absent in today’s politic. I’ve looked at the evidence as posted and it really looks like massive voter fraud has taken place. The number one piece of evidence that indicates this are the various statistics that have been calculated from the election. Since most people do not understand statistics, they are ignored. Everyone seems to be lying about everything, I can’t trust any source. So what is the truth? We may never know. I know that I do not want the ideology that the liberals are pushing on us and fear it will ruin the country and destroy lives, possibly my family too.
Song number eight
Pretty well into song number eight with the working title, “It just can’t only be me”. Kind of a jazzy -scat tune. Going for “out there” melody in parts.
Song #7 finished
I finished song number seven today. It is a waltz with an intro, parts A and B and a coda. I decided to use 16th notes instead of a trill because a trill alternates with the next higher note in a diatonic scale and my scale was altered, thus to correctly notate it, I expanded out explicitly what I wanted. Pretty happy with the result, the current working title is: “Mr. hummingbird got his Juice”.
Once I have ten songs completed, then I can register them with the copyright office and create my first CD! Now I only need three more songs…
Song Number 7
Song number seven came to me today. Its about a hummingbird and sounds like a waltz in 3/4 time. I need to decide if I trill a phrase or leave it as eight notes. The phrase is like the hummingbird beating its wings and the eight notes resolve nicely, but maybe a trill would fit better with the image I’m trying to create.
Anyway, happy this one came to me today. So far it has two parts and is fun to play.
Quantized Inertia
I’m a big fan of Mike McCulloch’s Quantized Inertia theory. You can read about it here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantized_inertia
Unfortunately, it does look like politics have encroached upon the scientific community. There is a lot of criticism towards Mike and much of it is unwarranted in my opinion. Very few critical reviewers seem to even take the time to understand his theory and make false claims about what it means.
The proof will be irrefutable experimental data that I hope Mike can produce at some point.
Rough Practice Week
Well folks, this has been a rough week to practice. I got too much house improvement projects going on in addition to the regular pandemic and election bullshit. Its really hard to sit down and let go to play.
Hopefully this weekend I’ll get back into it. I now have six original compositions and I need four more before I can register them with the government copyright office and then publish them on this site. Currently I’m trying to come up with a replacement song for the title I used already that doesn’t quite fit that song. Gotta be in the right state of mind for it to come to me.
Crazy Times
Crazy times right now. Seems everyone is lying to us and trying to manipulate us. I hope I can rise above it all and just play music.
