  • Summary 2024

Wild time in the world. Looking forward to making music

  • “What’s That” is now released

    “What’s That” is now released

    The songs in this album:

Dimtr the Imp:  A happy imp skips through a forest meadow, then something gets him irritated, leading to him going full demon, and then back to a happy imp again.

The Engineer’s Daughter: A song in 11/4 time

Blood on the Stones: I saw the movie “THE BANSHEES OF INISHERIN” which inspired me to write this Irish like song.

Can’t Wake Up:  Did you every have a day where you just could fully wake up?   I did one day and I wrote this song

Ipso Facto:  The name came to me after I wrote this, Kind of goes with the recurring musical phrase

Glow at the end of the Hole:  My mother-in-law recently passed away from Alzheimer’s. It was really tough, especially the last few years.  We knew the end was near and could see the “Light at the end of the tunnel”, but darker for us.  I wrote this song to represent that chaotic time

Estrange:  This is my first tango

Wisps of Mist: This song alternates between a Hungarian Minor in A scale and A# Lydian with #2 #7.  I use my scale program I wrote in python to find these two scales that overlap well.  It uses scales commonly used in exotic surf rock

Don’t Tempt Me:  This is an example of a song that started from something simple; use grace notes in melody.  It has a sort of contemporary swing revival feel to it

Mystic hunter:  Originally titled, “Stalking Otherworldly things”, a Folk/Fairy Tale type vibe.

  • Working on new songs

I’m working on three new songs. One’s in 11/4 time and took awhile to find the groove. The second one is like an Irish folk, or English shanty type song with a lot of energy. The last is jazzy and falls in an out of Latin sounding phrases.

  • New Songs

I already have five new songs towards my next release. Best part is that I’m not even trying to write them, they just keep coming to me. Weird how that works.

  • New Album Release – Aether Sent

I just released my new Album, “Aether Sent”. Not only that, but now all my music is available on several major streaming services including Spotify, Apple Music and Youtube Music.

You can also sample my songs under the ‘album’ menu and optionally purchase the mp3 files, or pdf sheet music for download.

All my sheet music uses the American Accordion Notation. Any fingerings shown are for the Bayan.

  • Next Release coming …

I’ve been taking it easy, but now have nine working compositions. In the next month or two I should have my next release out.

  • Second Release

Check out my second album, “Light Headed Journey”. I also started cleaning up this site.

  • First Release

I released my first ten songs. I’ll start posting them here

  • Song Number Nine: “It Never Fails”

OK, I know this is going to sound a little weird, but suppose that the produces of the next James Bond move contacted me and wanted me to compose the spy movie theme on my Bayan. What makes a song sound like spy genre?

I listened to a number of spy tunes. The original Dr. NO James bond theme, Goldfinger and Thunderball are three of the best. I started composing my version of spy song #9, but my wife said it sounds sad. That’s not the emotion I was going for,….maybe if I speed it up?

Anyway, this is going to be tricky because its gotta be my own original piece, yet sound like the spy genre.
